ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2021 have an active sustainability effort to strengthen the ecological, economic, social and democratic aspects. Sustainability provides quality and contributes to the whole experience of the event and should therefore be active, systematic and integrated. In order to achieve this, we need to have good leadership, be innovative and drive development in a sustainable direction. Our sustainability initiative is conducted in an ethically and legally correct manner. Laws and agreements are properly followed. The management team, employees as well as volunteers will have sufficient knowledge and tools to integrate sustainability into their daily work before, during and after the event. We strive to minimize the negative impact on the environment and people to make a positive contribution to society, stakeholders and the local economy and to provide lasting positive effects locally, regionally and nationally – also referred to as Legacy.
